Kurt Hessenberg has left a very rich œuvre. His catalogue of works details about 400 compositions from various genres.
In order to make this wealth more accessible, we have sorted the catalogue by four different criteria:
> by opus number
> systematical (by genre)
> chronological
> alphabetical
Theses catalogues are based on the one prepared by Hessenberg in the late 1980s. We have, however, added details (e.g., on publishers) from other sources.
This is also, and to an even greater extent, true of the
> discography,
which has grown in a very gratifying manner since Hessenberg prepared a first version of it in 1990.
